During your evaluation interview, you will reflect on your performance over the previous year as well as look ahead to indicate your goals and explore how the organization can help you improve as a professional. It is critical to prepare a list of your contributions to the organization, areas for improvement, personal growth, and pay.


ANSWER TO THE QUESTIONS BELOW

  • What did you accomplish in the last year? Make this as concrete as possible, including figures if possible.
  • What are your strong points and weak points? Are there any flaws that you have addressed? Consider examples that demonstrate this.
  • How did you contribute value to the team or the organization? Describe the new concepts you've incorporated and the methods you've used.
  • Have you demonstrated your ability to take on greater responsibility and your willingness to continue growing?

  • Once you have a clear picture of your performance and progress, you must understand how to apply this knowledge to get the most out of the review.


CONSIDER WHAT CAN BE DONE BETTER

You have outlined your performance over the last year and provided real examples. The next stage is to estimate your activity and determine where you might improve. Bring suggestions that will help you avoid the challenges you are now experiencing. Demonstrate that the peak has not yet been achieved and that you can lead the team to greater heights.


PLAN OUT YOUR GOALS

Consider what you want to accomplish in your career in the next years and how your company can assist you. What options do you have for broadening your knowledge and developing your own skills? Inquire with HR about the availability of a training budget. Then you may look for training to submit to your manager at the appraisal. Make sure you can clearly describe why the training is appealing to you and how your new abilities will help the organization.


PREPARE TO MAKE A COMPROMISE

Your employer is unable to accommodate all of your requests. Make a list of the issues on which you are willing to bargain and those on which you are not. You may need to make a concession on the time or manner in which you may launch new initiatives, market them, or earn a pay raise.


UNDERSTAND YOUR WORTH

If you believe you do not earn enough, it is advisable to prepare well so that you can present your wage request to your boss in a persuasive manner.


SET YOUR OBJECTIVES

Use this time to set your goals together. Ensure that your objectives have been reviewed and approved by your manager, and keep track of how you are putting them into action. This way, you'll be in an excellent negotiation position at the next meeting.
